Aubree Mladenovic is a visual artist and freelance curator based in Tacoma, Washington.
Aubree’s drawings, the primary focus of her practice, feature figures in transcendent spaces. Infusing a variety of patterns and repeating shapes in natural and abstract scenes, these drawings represent emotional states as much as physical ones (even more so, the undeniable connection between the two). The subjects, nameless characters, are either portrayed in melancholic or contemplative states or in slow movement, dancing. They express the complexities of beauty, love, and loss that are felt in moments of reflection and introspection.
